Things to know if you're a New Owner in Montezuma

CABLE TV & INTERNET

Montezuma at Keystone provides internet and TV service as part of HOA dues.

TRASH PICKUP

Trash service is provided with a common/shared dumpster located at the north side of the parking lot in front of the building.  We do have bears and they can make quite a mess so please make sure the gate to the dumpster is shut properly and locked.

RECYCLE

We do not have recycling service at Montezuma at Keystone.  If you wish to recycle, you can keep recycle bins in your unit and take your recycled materials to the landfill located on Landfill Road on the West side of Keystone.  You need to separate cans, plastic, cardboard, and glass into separate containers at the landfill.

LAUNDRY

There is a Laundry Room with two washers and two dryers located on the ground floor.  Access is from an outside door between Stack 2 and Stack 3 entry doors.  An access code is necessary to enter the Laundry Room.  All laundry machines are free of charge.

BEARS

We do have bears that frequent Montezuma at Keystone, especially in the Spring and Fall months, but also through the summer.  They typically roam at night. It is important that you not keep any food items in your car if it is parked outside, even if it is locked.  We have had several instances of bears smashing their way into the car in order to get something as simple as an open bag of potato chips.

MOOSE

It is very common to see moose at Montezuma at Keystone throughout the year.  They can be unpredictable, especially if it is a female with her young nearby.  You should never approach them.  Take your picture from afar!

QUIET HOURS

Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.  This means that there is no outdoor activity allowed after 10:00 pm, including no gathering on the decks. In addition, excessive loud noise, such as large outdoor speakers, are never allowed at any time of day.  For a complete description of our quiet hour policy, review the Resources->Policies section of this website.

MAINTENANCE ITEMS

If you have maintenance items that need to be addressed for your unit, including driveways and decks, you should contact Prime Property Management directly.  You can find their contact information under the Contacts->Property Management  tab of this website.  Any maintenance items required on the inside of your unit, including electrical, heating or plumbing, is your responsibility to address with a contractor of your choice.

SNOW REMOVAL

We have contracts for snow removal that is included in the HOA dues.

LANDSCAPING

Montezuma at Keystone maintains the landscaping around the common areas in cooperation with Lenawee.
